Boulevard de Waterloo 16
.mode is the extension encompassing interdisciplinary projects (art/design) by Nick Peeters and Simon Van Pottelbergh.
.mode is in search of new form languages, based on innovative manufacturing methods inspired by nature and technology.
.mode’s collection ‘MAD-mode’ (music-aided-design) includes objects which’s shape are conceived by sound.
.mode develops its projects at Monad Hub, an unbounded creative space based in Landen, Belgium
.mode searches for hidden beauty by translating the intangible into functional matter. We would like to present two products of the MAD.mode collection (Music-Aided-Design). This collection consists of different objects, each inspired by a specific sound fragment. A process was created in order to translate sound into shapes. After that, functionality was given to the shape by converting them into pieces of furniture. This way the intangible (sound) is made tangible through functional objects.
