The Brussels Limited Edition – Labyrinth
“The 2016 Interior Awards included a piece by a Belgian designer. Labyrinth by Inge Lagae can therefore be considered among the best internationally in 2016. This year the jury obviously went for designs which, each in their own way, relate to the sustainable use of materials and stimulate interaction.
Objects relevant to living space were what the Interior Awards homed in on and, with the idea of the labyrinth, Lagae eloquently demonstrates the form that that relevance is given in Belgium. Using furniture design, the Belgian winner stimulates social awareness, the way man and object cooperate in the creative process, and the way they interact. That, combined with giving special attention to sustainability and a joined-up approach to the use of different materials, makes Labyrinth an exemplar of the quality and relevance of Belgian design in the 21st century.” Labyrinth has been produced in three different versions: steel, wood and carbon fibre. The carbon fibre version will be shown for the first time to the public for this fourth edition of the Uptown Design Tour at Project Store by Greta Marta.
